My Beginning as an Ellora’s Cave Author
I have a handful of books with Ellora’s Cave. My most popular to date is Simple Need, followed by Ink Spots. These two books have with tattooed bad boys Vinter and Jaz have left some readers panting for years after reading them. This of course is thrilling for an author.
I have a Quickie with them as well, titled The Swing, that is high on the emotion and very dirty on the sex.
Ellora’s Cave was the first publisher I bought ebooks from some 5 years ago. I didn’t know anything at the time about digital books, small press and digital publishers. I didn’t know anyone was publishing erotica and erotic romance for the masses online. I knew of porn sites and erotic free story sites, and had even added my own short pieces. I loved writing, sometimes very tame, but most times very naughty. I wanted to be a published author, though as I read more and more books about how to become published, I was discouraged.
That was, until I heard about digital and small press publishers. I began downloading books onto my computer, reading title after title, and as much as I was hooked on romance in general, and as much as I read constantly before, I couldn’t believe the treasure trove I had been led to. The hotter, the naughtier, the sexier the stories, the more I kept reading. New to me authors alongside proven best sellers.
Ellora’s Cave had and still does have some of the best erotica and erotic romance. My second submission to them was accepted while I was attending my first romance conference, but I didn’t see it until I arrived home. My first had been rejected and that was a heavy blow, but at the time, not unexpected. At least I kept trying. I had been checking my email inbox all weekend, but it wasn’t until I checked my spam folder that I found the acceptance letter. I couldn’t believe it and I couldn’t stop grinning and bouncing up and down. I got into Ellora’s Cave with a sexy little story called The Demon is an Angel. (There is at least one reader still waiting for more of that storyline, too.)
I have a new book out with them this month titled Trouble In The Making, and I’m still ecstatic to be able to count them among my publishers. Everyone I have worked with at Ellora’s Cave has been incredible and I have learned a lot. I look forward to continuing to publish with them.
Johnny Trouble. He’s a commanding presence in leather and tattoos, both on stage and off. He’s had more than his fair share of groupies and lovers, but it’s time for a change and he reconnects with the one woman whose memory has driven him crazy since high school. Liz.
She’s a quiet, shy romance author who likes her comfort zones. But when Johnny comes back into her life after years of living in the spotlight, Liz’s private fantasies shift into overdrive and she nervously asks him to fulfill them.
Just one weekend is all she proposes, but the sparks flying between them when Johnny touches her aren’t temporary. She’s the particular brand of trouble he wants in his bed, bent over, or crawling all over him. Forever.
He just has to convince her by any means necessary…

If you can’t remember, what was the most recent? For me, my first was by Samantha Kane, Brothers In Arms: The Courage To Love
