Marissa Dobson (Founder):

Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, I now reside about an hour from Washington, D.C. I am a lady who likes to keep busy, and am always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, I believes you are never done learning.

Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave me the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read I have always had my nose in a book. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I started writing down the stories I came up with.
I am blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He is my other half and allows me to stay home and pursue my writing. My writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to me bounce ideas off them. They might not be able to answer, but they are helpful in their own ways.

Moline Illinois is where I currently reside with my three little girls, Kelsey Emma and Bella, and my fabulous husband Chris, with whom I’ve been happily married to now for ten years. I am a stay at home mom by day, something in which I absolutely adore by the way, and an avid and completely obsessive reader by night.

I have always loved to read, from the time I first picked up a book, according to my mother. But up until two and a half years ago, I never found the time to really enjoy it. Now though, I don’t go to sleep without my Kindle or a book in hand. Reading is like my own personal escape from reality, and I honestly don’t know how I ever lived so long without it.

The young adult genre is by far my favorite choice when it comes to books out there, but if theres romance involved, accompanied by the bad boy you hate to love, then you can most definitely count me in!

Thomas:

I am Marissa’s husband and somehow she roped me into review a few books a month for her. Wonder how that happened? I am a High School Special Education English teacher, and in college for my my PH.D in Education Administration. That’s right, very soon everyone will be calling me Dr. Dobson. Wonder if I can get my wife to call me that? I enjoy reading pretty much anything in my free time.

Jennifer:

Living in my home town of Charleston WV I am a  mom of two beautiful girls who think they have the run of the house but in truth it’s their furry brother Bo who is the true king. I am married to my high school sweetheart Nathan for almost 11 years now. He has been my rock, keeping me grounded, without him I would probably float away! As a stay at home mom I feel I  have the best job in the world! I sneak in a few books a week when I can, and write a little on the side for my own amusement! I love, love, love to read! I was first introduced to the world of fantasy when I was 7 reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and wanted to be Lucy so bad!! After that I was hooked, I never wanted to read about the “real world” again, which caused me to get in trouble with my junior high English teacher. Yeah summer school sucks, I should have read the dang book!  I learned about book trading early and would take trash bags full of my grandmas romance novels to the local flea market in hopes of trading them for a Stephen King novel or anything else that caught my eye! Those days are long gone, now my books stay safely out of trading and harms way.  Happy Reading!

Isis:

I was born and raised in Northern California. I love the weather here and enjoy the beautiful array of people. I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. My mom always read to us and in a way that the books came alive with her many voices. So how could I not fall in love with the world of books? I love escaping into other worlds. I am currently pursuing my associate’s degree in Medical Assisting. Eventually I aspire to be a nurse and author. I enjoy writing poetry and am currently working on a novel. If I am lucky one day people will be putting me on their favorite authors list.

My husband and I have been happily married for almost eleven years now. He also enjoys a good book and we often choose books to read together. It is a fun way to do something we both enjoy together. We don’t currently have any children of our own but we do have a wonderful fur baby. Lucian keeps us laughing and has been a bright addition to our world. We may not have any children of our own yet but we are surrounded with them on a regular basis. We have 5 godchildren, 12 nieces and nephews, and a plethora of “adopted” children that we have watched over the years.

I read a little bit of everything. My favorite genre is and has always been paranormal romance. There is just something about vampires, werewolves, ghost, and other paranormal beings. I also enjoy reading contemporary romance, thrillers, some horror, Christian fiction, and dabble a bit in fantasy and sci-fi. I do enjoy a good book of any genre.

Sir’s Kitten:

A submissive wife with kinky taste in books… I knew that’s what you thought I would say! I’m giggling over here. Yes, I’m Sir’s kitten. I am a happily married woman. To not just my Sir, but my best friend; my husband; and love of my life. I have a daughter that is going to make me have a nervous breakdown before I’m forty. But that is ok, because she is the best thing that ever happened to me. I like to call myself an avid reader, but I feel that’s a bit arrogant of me. I get lazy. Don’t we all? I have read nearly 200 books this year, and tend to read about 10+ books a month, depending on length. I am an easy reader. Let me define that: I am a total easy sell! I am a fan of S&m when it comes to my BDSM, I like originality when it comes to my young adult, and I like hunky supernatural studs when it comes to my erotic romance. My gateway book series that made me the reader I am today was R.L. Stine’s Fear Street Series, followed by Blood and Chocolate by Annette Kurtis Clause.

Robin:

I am living my HEA in Phoenix, Arizona with my wonderful husband and three kids. I have been reading romance novels since I was at least 13. In fact, I consider myself an addict and have downloaded more than 1500 books since I got my first Kindle about four years ago. But I don’t want to be cured!  I take my Kindle everywhere I go (even the bathroom!) and have downloaded the Kindle app onto my cell phone so that I will never be caught without a book to read. At any given time I might be in the middle of ten or more books. I read so fast that I am always looking for my next fix. There is just something amazing about losing yourself in a fictional world. My favorite romance genres are historical and erotic but I won’t say no to a good paranormal, contemporary or YA book.  I am so excited to be writing reviews. Now when I am reading, I can just tell my family that I am working and they have to leave me alone.

That is enough about us. Let’s get reading!
