No Regrets, No Surrender is the continuing story of Jazz, Zach and Logan from Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here. This continuation of the Always a Marine series is not a 1NS, it is a longer novella and truly delves into the complicated relationship of these three heroes.

At the end of their night of frenzied passion, Jazz Winters walked away from the only two men who’d ever made her feel like a woman. Logan Cavanaugh and Zach Evans let her go, but only if she swore all her future leaves to them. For fourteen, excruciatingly long months, they’ve waited for her, visiting when they could, but the demands of Mike’s Place only let them go one at a time. Jazz’s fear that a ménage can’t last a lifetime is founded in her very middle-class, middle-American upbringing. The stress of years of military service in hot zones, combined with life-threatening injuries, pushes her to the edge. When she comes home, she’s the wounded warrior, not the woman she thinks they want. But Zach and Logan are right there to help her, even when she resists. She’s not alone. And whether she chooses one man or both, they have no regrets and they won’t surrender.

Logan survived a IED and is permanently scared. He has had to deal with all kinds of insecurities over body issues, impotence and the loss of his career in the military. No his lover has suffered the same fate. A victim of an IED explosion Jazz has a serious head injury, causing seizures, strokes, and memory loss. Jazz has to deal with many of the same issues as Logan. But on top of that she has to deal with being in love with two men. While Jazz has always been a little different, a strong, tough marine, she still can’t understand how she can have a relationship with two men that can last longer than a fling. She fears what others will think. She fears jealousy will rear it’s ugly head and she fears she will not be enough for these two strong men.

I loved the closeness of Zach and Logan. They are totally different personalities, but they compliment each other so well. Their friendship is amazing and adding Jazz to the mix just makes everything perfect. If they can just convince her of that.

The Always a Marine series deals with a lot of serious and contemporary issues. Mike’s Place has a real life counterpart, Fisher House, and Heather Long donates part of the proceeds from this to support Fisher House. So get your copy of No Regrets, No Surrender and enjoy a wonderful story while supporting a wonderful cause.

Disclaimer – I edited these stories. But I adore all of Heather Long’s Always a Marine stories. They aren’t novel-length, but she packs so much into each one, so they’re well worth the read! As secondary characters get their own stories, it’s gratifying to see them find their own happiness too!
