Tinsel Wars by Anne Kane is a delightful holiday romance. I enjoyed reading this installment in the Reindeer Games series. It is Braedon and Misty’s story. It’s a story of secrets, fears, love and reconciliation. I thought the plot was easy to follow and flowed well I have never read this author before but I would pick up another book by her and give it a try because I enjoyed this one.
Braedon and Misty were in love but she walked away. She couldn’t stand the thought of losing him. She just knew that the secret she was hiding would make him walk away from him so she did it herself before they could invest anymore into their relationship. He can’t stop thinking about here and is determined to get her back. He hatches a plan that is sure to work because he isn’t going to let her slip through his fingers again. She regrets her choice but she doesn’t want to invest more time just to have her heart broken. When he shows up in her town for the reindeer games the sparks fly between them once again. Will she tell him her secret? If she does will it ruin what they have? Or will the two of them end up in each other’s arms the way both of them desire?
I thought Tinsel Wars was a cute story. I liked the characters and the way they interacted. I really liked her parent even though they were secondary parents. I liked that they were not your typical elves and were not afraid to express themselves even if it causes them trouble. I liked the relationship between Braedon and Misty as well. Braedon was quite romantic and I liked how he expressed himself in that department. I thought Misty should have just told him what was bothering her that would have been a better solution than walking away from Braedon. I would recommend Tinsel Wars to anyone who enjoys a quick easy holiday romance read.
